The Pros & Cons of Pick Up
So, I’ve been saying for a while that I really liked Stephen Nash and his style, and he had his friend Carmen Teone (who I know NOTHING about) post a few articles on his blog. Entropy has told me that Carmen is legit, so I take his word. He posted these two articles that I really dug:
I really have to completely agree with both articles, and it saves me the time to articulate these thoughts myself. Part I he goes into how Pick-Up can be a FANTASTIC thing for guys who have no idea what to do with that random girl at the bar. In Part II, he talks about how guys get into pick-up and go WAY fucking overboard with all the bullshit about being alpha, and thinking that girls are testing them. I couldn’t really have said it better myself.
You know I agree with a lot of the “anti-pick up” stuff that goes on, but where would those of us that got over that shit be with out all of the bullshit that came with pick up in the first place? Is it really possible to teach guys how to get really good with women (or what I call being truly happy) without the BS that comes in the first 6-12 months? I really don’t know, I’m just asking the question. Part of me feels like that process of figuring out things out on your own is beneficial. Another part of me feels like better teachers in the community will be able to help teach guys and get past all of that bullshit.
